The BIP Mam-O-Guide® MR consists of two components – an application cannula and a localization wire with anchoring element that lies in stretched form in the distal end of the application cannula.
The localization wire is made of twisted Nitinol. The distal end of the BIP Mam-O-Guide® MR forms a ring-shaped anchoring element while applicated.
The application cannula has a sharp tip, centimeter depth marks for direct visual assessment of insertion depth and a small handle. It is made of titanium and is MR-compatible for use in 1.5 Tesla and 3 Tesla MR systems.
The BIP Mam-O-Guide® MR is available in different lengths. A depth stopper made of silicone can be used for pre-adjustment of penetration depth on cannula.
Benefits
- Universal application for diagnostic procedures – magnetic resonance imaging MRI.
- Optimized anchoring in tissue with minimal risk of injury.
- Possibility of repositioning.
- Double twisting enables optimal reflexion and visibility to ultrasound and protects against accidental cutting of the wire.
- Deployment direction of the anchoring element can be determined by turning the application cannula.
- Palpable markings in front of the anchoring element support during surgical intervention.
- Optimized cannula tip facilitates penetration into tissue.
