The BIP HistoCore® T is an automatic, spring-operated disposable biopsy device. It offers a fully-automatic and a semi-automatic mode with two adjustable penetration depths (25 mm / 18 mm) each. The biopsy device is designed for one-handed operation. It consists of a plastic-handle with indicator of cocking status and an integrated biopsy needle. The biopsy needle is made of medical-grade stainless steel and consists of an inner stylet with 19 mm sample notch with WingTip-Trocar® tip. The outer cannula is equipped with centimeter depth marks for direct visual assessment of insertion depth and has an echogenic zone at the distal end for better visibility in ultrasound. The devices are available in different sizes (12G – 18G) and are color-coded according to the diameter of the biopsy needle.
